Cara Ann Murphy is an Associate at Sandelands Eyet LLP and practicing in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Cara has experience in civil litigation including real estate, title and foreclosure litigation. A focal point of Cara’s litigation experience has been the representation of mortgage servicing companies. Aside from civil litigation work, Cara has experience with regards to matrimonial, municipal and immigration matters. Prior to joining Sandelands Eyet, Cara was employed as the Program and Policy Attorney for a non-profit organization which did extensive lobbing and legislative work in New Jersey and New York City.
Cara earned her Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she served as the Executive Content Editor for Joule: Duquesne Energy and Environmental Law Journal and Staff Writer for Juris: The Duquesne University School of Law Newsmagazine. She also gained litigation experience as a Certified Legal Intern with the Lycoming County Public Defender’s Office and as a Judicial Intern with Judge Thomas E. Flaherty and Judge Kathleen R. Mulligan of Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.
Cara graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Cara is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association where she is a member of the Special Civil Part and Business and Commercial Litigation Committees. She is also a member of the New Jersey Women Lawyer Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
