Mitchell E. Zipkin is an Associate with Sandelands Eyet LLP with a background in community association, landlord/tenant, and collection law. Mitchell is licensed to practice in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the United States District Court of the District of New Jersey. Prior to joining Sandelands Eyet LLP, Mitchell represented community associations, landlords, credit card companies, debt buyers and medical professionals in civil litigation matters throughout New York and New Jersey.
Mitchell served as general counsel to community associations where he attended board and open meetings, drafted and negotiated service contracts and association rules and regulations, and assisted with the collection of unpaid maintenance fees, including related foreclosure and bankruptcy matters. Mitchell appeared regularly in housing court on nonpayment and for cause eviction cases. Mitchell has represented traditional purchasers and sellers, as well as investors, in residential real estate transactions. Mitchell also has extensive experience in retail debt collection litigation. He is a graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law (J.D. 2008) and the University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.A. History & Political Science – 2005).
